The main tennis courts at SLTC

Tennis

As a member of Sanderstead LTC the tennis playing opportunities range from help for beginners and improving players up to Surrey League team participation.

MDL CoachingWe work with a group of coaches – MDL Coaching – who provide coaching for our Juniors as well as running both evening and weekday sessions for adult members. Individual or group sessions can also be arranged. To see the full range of MDL help, visit their website – www.mdlcoaching.co.uk.

For players who want social tennis the courts are generally available for members to arrange their own games. We also have Club Sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm, where members can turn up and mix in.

To give an idea of the range of tennis activities at our club, visit our Court Usage page for a chart showing all the regular tennis activities during a typical week.

For players wanting competitive play we have 3 main Club tournaments throughout the year, with the Summer events being the main ones. We have a number of teams entered in the Surrey Leagues (see section on ‘Club Teams & Tournaments’ for further information). A mixed team training session is held on a Tuesday evening at 7pm (by invitation only). We also arrange friendly matches with other local clubs.

Table Tennis

Our active Table Tennis section meets mainly during the winter. We now run two teams, one in the Croydon & District League and one in the Redhill & Reigate League.

Whist

Our Whist section used to meet on a Monday evening, however since Covid this activity has now ceased.

Bridge

Bridge takes place at the Club twice a week (Tuesdays and Fridays) between 1pm and 4pm. This is run externally.
