Thu, Jan 1, 2015We were so lucky this year to have lovely weather, thank you to those spectators who came along to support the players (although the turnout was somewhat disappointing, I’m sure those who turned up felt it was worth it!). Special thanks to the umpires Chris H, Joe and Charlotte, as well as the scorers Nicola, Samantha and Charlotte. To Clare W and Val for providing lunch and helping in the kitchen, as well as Ginnie & Marilyn for the delicious cakes. Thank you to Derek and Clive for taking all the photos, and Derek and Graham for manning the bar – as well as anyone else who helped on the day! A huge thank you to Patience, Nicola, Chris H and Joe for all their help in the background too.

Mens Vets Doubles: Ian Guest & Fio Marconi beat Ian Stinton & Chris Hicks 2-6, 6-0, 6-4
Ladies Vets Doubles: Ginnie Stone & Lesley Gale beat Carrie Askew & Chris Platonoff 6-3, 6-0
Mixed Doubles: Joe Hayward & Lesley Gale beat Lake Moonpen & Sue Manton 6-3, 6-2
