Christmas tournament 2014
Thu, Jan 1, 2015Summer Finals Day 2015
Tue, Jul 21, 2015Firstly, well done to all the winners and commiserations to the runners up – the results are detailed below. Secondly, there are once again many people to thank – without whose help the day would not have been so successful! Some of the most important people as far as the tennis is concerned are the umpires – they included Lesley, Chris H, Charlotte, Joe, Rob, Chris W and Debbie. A special thank you to Chris Watson for arranging all the junior matches – it is great having the youngsters participate in our club tournaments alongside the adults, and they make a great addition to the day (including bringing along lots of supporters!!). Derek and Clive once again took all the photographs. Thank you to Suzanne for providing the lunch (and any others who helped in the kitchen), as well as Marilyn, Ginnie & Chris P who made delicious cakes and scones. Then of course there are the all-important bar servers – who included Graham and Derek (and no doubt a few others!). Various people on the tennis committee also do a lot in the background, so thank you also to them. And a final thanks goes to the spectators who helped to create a lovely atmosphere on the day and cheered on the players.
